Murder charge after man dies in Ladywood

A man has been charged with murder after a 31-year-old man was injured and died in Birmingham, police have said.

The man was found with injuries at an address on Icknield Port Road in Ladywood on Wednesday evening before he was taken to hospital and died a short time later.

Joseph McCalmon, 31, from Birmingham, was charged with murder and is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

West Midlands Police said the victim's family had been informed and were being supported by specialist officers.
