UK Surf & Skate Expo/Oli ChapmanThe Government of Jersey has put forward plans for a new skatepark.
It would initially be located at the top of South Hill in St Helier, and eventually be moved into the redeveloped Fort Regent site - which is due to be completed in 2028.
The plan is for the new park to be built behind the boxing gym, according to a planning application.
The application said that once the skate park had been moved into Fort Regent, the vacated space would be used for a cycle park.
GoogleAndy Jehan, Jersey's infrastructure minister, previously said more than 50 potential sites for the skate park had been looked at.
In 2023, a £1.9m concrete skate park opened in Les Quennevais.
