Man dies as car crashes into tree

A man has died after the car he was driving crashed into a tree on a road near Wetherby.

The man, in his 60s, was driving a grey Aston Martin DBX SUV when it crashed on the A58 Leeds Road, between Bardsey and Collingham, on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened at about 14:05 BST and the driver died at the scene, West Yorkshire Police said.

Officers appealed for witnesses or anyone with footage of the incident to come forward.
