Trio jailed after 'stabbing frenzy' at flat
Leicester Media OnlineThree people have been jailed after a man was stabbed multiple times at a flat in Leicester.
Police said the 36-year-old victim suffered life-changing injuries when he was attacked by David Rzeszowski and Damian Dwogewski at Monika Krolikowska's flat in Narborough Road on 19 August 2024.
The man told officers he was a former neighbour of Krolikowski and had asked to charge his phone at her flat after bumping into her at a nearby shop.
Dwogewski and Krolikowska were found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent at Leicester Crown Court and on Thursday were jailed for 14 years while Rzeszowski received a 15-year sentence having previously admitted the same offence.
Leicestershire PoliceLeicestershire Police said the victim told them he had been sitting in the flat with 41-year-old Krolikowska when the two men - both 35 - entered, with one of them asking "is this the one?"
He was then stabbed in the chest, shoulder blade and in both hands and forearms during the 30-second attack.
Officers said Krolikowska was initially treated as a witness but as the investigation progressed officers established she had invited the men round with the intention of them attacking the victim.
Det Con Victoria Morris said: "This was an unprovoked attack that could've resulted in something far more severe. It's evident that none of the suspects cared about what might've happened.
"Thankfully the victim's slowly recovering from his injuries but the fact they were prepared to use that level of violence and potentially end his life is extremely concerning."
