Ten people have been charged after a photo showing a group displaying an SS banner and performing fascist salutes outside a town hall in Fife circulated online.

A 33-year-old man and four 16-year-old boys were arrested over the incident, which took place in front of Kirkcaldy House on Saturday.

They are due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date. Five other teenage boys have also been charged in connection with the incident and have been reported to the relevant authorities.

Insp Kim Stuart said Police Scotland were taking the incident "very seriously" and positive lines of inquiry were ongoing to identify the others involved.
