A Knightsbridge restaurateur is facing trial on allegations he raped and sexually assaulted a woman who had been drugged.

Vikas Nath, 63, is accused of one count of rape, three charges of sexual assault, three allegations of voyeurism and two counts of administering a substance with intent.

It is claimed Nath carried out sex attacks on a woman on two dates in 2022, and he is also accused of making covert recordings "for sexual gratification".

Nath, who lives in Knightsbridge and is the owner of a string of top restaurants, denies all of the charges and has been remanded in custody.

At Southwark Crown Court on Monday, Nath appeared in front of Judge Usha Karu for a trial to be set for 8 February 2027.

The case is due to last between five and seven days.

Judge Karu ordered the restaurateur to appear for a further pre-trial hearing on 11 January next year.
