Man, 46, charged over serious assault in Alderney
Guernsey PoliceA man has been charged over an assault which left a person with serious injuries.
Guernsey Police said the incident happened at The Georgian House hotel in Alderney on Saturday with the victim taken to the UK for hospital treatment.
The force said a 46-year-old man appeared at court in Guernsey after being charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He was remanded in custody until 8 June when he is due to appear at Guernsey Magistrates' Court.
A second man, aged 48, has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody, police added. Anyone with information has been asked to contact detectives or Crimestoppers.
