Armed police attend after gunshots fired at car

Police are investigating after gunshots were fired at a car in Rotherham earlier.

Armed officers were deployed to Pitt Street in the Kimberworth area at about 14:00 BST.

South Yorkshire Police said no injuries had been reported and asked anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.

Officers remained at the scene conducting further enquiries and high visibility patrols would take place in the coming days, the force added.
