Drone photographs have revealed the scale of devastation after a huge blaze at a commercial premises in Blackpool.

Fifteen engines were called to the scene in Waterloo Road at about 23:30 GMT on Friday - with crews still there into Saturday morning.

Smart Play Blackpool said their indoor play area had been "completely destroyed", leaving its owners "truly heartbroken".

Images released by Lancashire Fire and Rescue show the gutted shell of the building later that day.

Some nearby homes were evacuated and local MP Chris Webb said he was helping residents secure accommodation, food and essential items, including support and shelter for a rough sleeper.

Neighbouring furniture store Smart Mart Blackpool said "no one was hurt and we wish to thank all the emergency services that attended".
