Hull KR's blue plaque is 'icing on the cake'
Jasmine Lowe/BBC NewsA rugby league team with a treble-winning season have been presented with a blue plaque to recognise their achievements.
In 2025, Hull Kingston Rovers made history by winning the Super League Grand Final, the Challenge Cup and the League Leaders' Shield.
The Hull Civic Society presented the blue plaque - which marks a person, building or event with important significance - at the club's Sewell Group Craven Park stadium.
Rovers' chairman Paul Sewell said: "This is recognition to all those people over all the years that got us to this point."

The plaque was mounted at the entrance to the stadium.
Sewell said: "I'm absolutely chuffed. You associate blue plaques with all sorts of lovely things when you go around cities. It's just timeless."
He labelled the accolade the "icing on the cake".
"We are the community. Our community is us. We're here to make our community proud and hopefully we have today," Sewell added.
A Hull Civic Society spokesperson said: "Celebrating achievements that bring recognition to our city and encouragement to the morale of the community is an important part of Hull Civic Society's philosophy.
"Rugby League Football is close to the hearts of many of Hull's citizens. We applaud the sporting skill of the team, coaches, management and fans' support for the team, that has turned the eyes of the sporting world to Hull and, particularly, to Hull KR."
Hull KR are now preparing to take part in the rugby league World Club Challenge, with the side due to take on Brisbane Broncos on 19 February at the MKM Stadium - the home of local rivals Hull FC.
