From turtles to mountains: Yorkshire stories to make you smile
The Deep/Howard KnivetonAcross Yorkshire, there are people doing amazing things every day of the week - and we want to highlight them.
This week we featured two people from Hull rescuing critically endangered sea turtles, and an RAF serviceman preparing to walk 500 miles (800km) and scale three mountains for charity.
Take a look below and enjoy some of the positive news stories from across BBC Yorkshire.
Half-shell heroes
The DeepTwo Hull-based aquarists have been rescuing critically endangered sea turtles in the US.
Shoshana Levine and Gavin Clarke traded their roles at The Deep aquarium to volunteer in New England, where turtles have been stranded on beaches in temperatures as low as -25C (-13F).
Beginning in the autumn, sea turtles migrate south to warmer waters. But they can become "cold-stunned" as the water temperature drops.
Levine said: "They come in as little ice cubes, sometimes without a heartbeat, and can completely recover."
'We got York Minster all to ourselves'
Ella Maisy Purvis, star of the Channel 4 crime drama Patience, spoke to Georgey Spanswick about filming series two in York.
The show follows police archivist Patience Evans, a young autistic woman with an "instinctive eye for crime scenes".
Purvis said the people of York were very understanding when it came to filming happening all over the city - even though they did close off York Minster to visitors at one stage.
Three Peaks Challenge
HOWARD KNIVETONAn RAF serviceman is preparing to walk 500 miles (800km) and scale three mountains to raise money for a military veterans' charity.
Howard Kniveton, 23, from Rotherham, will undertake the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen's Families Association (SSAFA).
His route will include Ben Nevis in the Grampian Mountains, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) in Wales.
Charity names first ambassador

A co-founder of a Bradford restaurant chain has been named the first official ambassador for the Bradford Hospitals Charity (BHC).
As the charity partner of Bradford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, BHC funds projects not covered by NHS budgets, including equipment, research, services and facilities that go beyond standard provision.
MyLahore's Ishfaq Farooq, who is backing a £3m fundraising campaign to build family accommodation for those with children being treated at Bradford Royal Infirmary's neonatal intensive care unit, said being named as an ambassador was a "great honour".
