Motorcyclist dies in crash involving van

A motorcyclist has died in a crash involving a van in Kent.

It happened between the junctions of Hook Lane and Fairbourne Lane on the A20 Ashford Road, in Harrietsham, at about 07:45 BST on Thursday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from Medway, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The van, a white Mercedes Sprinter, stopped at the scene, Kent Police said.

Anyone with relevant dashcam footage which may show a black Suzuki motorcycle and a white Mercedes Sprinter van is urged to contact the force.

The incident occurred on the High Street on Friday and involved a Mercedes car and a Honda bike.

A child was seriously injured by the police drone, the Air Accident Investigation Branch says.

Arran McManus, 36, was killed when two lorries and a Nissan Qashqai crashed on the M20 in Kent.

A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl died following the crash in Iwade, Kent Police say.

The circumstances behind the fire are not being treated as suspicious, Kent Police say.
