Tribute to 'much-loved' man who died in crash
West Mercia PoliceA man who died in a two-car crash was "much-loved", his family has said.
Emergency services were called to Tillington Road in Burghill, Herefordshire, at about 23:30 BST on 4 May, after a crash involving a black Toyota Corolla and a silver Hyundai i20.
Clive "Ted" Newman, 61, the driver of one of the cars, died at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services, West Mercia Police said.
A 42-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has since been released on bail while inquiries continue.
Paying tribute, Newman's family described him as "a much-loved and devoted husband, father, brother and son," adding that he would be deeply missed by all who knew him.
West Midlands Ambulance Service previously said two other men were taken to hospital with injuries following the crash.
Officers are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward.
Det Sgt Al Saxton said: "Our thoughts remain firmly with Clive's family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
"This is a deeply tragic incident, and we are committed to establishing exactly what happened in the moments leading up to the collision."
He added: "Even the smallest piece of information could prove vital in helping us provide answers for Clive's family."
