Firefighters have tackled a garden blaze that got out of control and spread to three homes, causing major damage.

Six crews were called to King Edward's Road in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, at about 17:50 BST on Thursday.

They found the flames had spread into the roof space of a bungalow and to two neighbouring properties.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will be carried out.
