Police are appealing for witnesses after a passenger of a taxi died following a road crash in Cornwall.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the fatal traffic collision involved a black VW Sharan private hire taxi and a black VW Polo at the junction of Towednack Road and the B3311 Halsetown Road in St Ives, at about 16:40 GMT on 24 February.

Police said the 47-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, where she later died.

Officers said they were appealing for witnesses who they had not already spoken to but who may have seen the collision, or anybody with dashcam footage of the time or just prior.
