Pedestrian seriously hurt in hit-and-run crash

A pedestrian has suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run incident in Bradford.

The 35-year-old man was taken to hospital after being struck by a Mitsubishi Shogun on Leeds Road just before 22:30 GMT on Saturday night.

West Yorkshire Police said the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

The force said two men, aged 45 and 39, were later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving before being bailed pending further inquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or may have relevant dashcam footage, is asked to contact the police.
