Kimmeridge CoastguardA walker has been rescued from half way up a cliff after they took a "wrong turn" during a coastal walk.
Coastguard rescue teams found the walker on the west side of Chapmans Pool, near Worth Matravers, on Tuesday afternoon.
The teams, from St Albans, Swanage and Kimmeridge, used a rope rescue system to rescue the walker, who was placed in a harness and winched up to safety.
Once safe and away from the cliff edge the casualty was checked over for injuries and given safety advice.
The Kimmeridge Coastguard team thanked the owner of West Hill Farm for allowing access through his fields, which it said resulted in a "quicker recovery" of the casualty.
