Gold and silver bullion seized in anti-slavery raid
Humberside PoliceGold and silver bullion worth about £175,000 has been seized in Hull.
Humberside Police said officers made the find in Cotterdale on Monday morning as part of a day of action to protect people most at risk of slavery.
About £13,000 in cash was also found, the force said.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of slavery offences and money laundering, and a 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of money laundering.
Det Sgt Richard Kirk, from the force's modern slavery and human trafficking team, said: "These days of action are crucial and form part of our ongoing commitment to ensure modern slavery is prevented, as well as raising awareness of crimes of this nature, which often remain hidden in plain sight amongst our communities."
