Easter Sunday baptisms take place on beaches
BBCChristians gathered on beaches across Devon on Easter Sunday for a series of sea baptisms.
Church leaders from 12 churches of different denominations took part in baptising people who wanted to make a public commitment to faith.
John Wells said before being baptised at Paignton beach, he was "ready to take the plunge and start the rest of my life".
The Diocese of Exeter said about 20 people were baptised in Paignton and another 25 at Torre Abbey Sands.

Wells said: "I'm doing it because it's something I've been yearning for for a long period of my life."
He felt he was lacking "support and comfort" before finding the church, which had helped him figure out what was right for him.
"It's been quite profound and a soul journey... so I'm here today and take a turn," Wells added.

Rev Matt Bray from Bay Church said that before going to the beach, people shared their stories at the Easter Sunday service.

He said: "We've gathered on the beach to baptise a handful of people who have given their lives to Jesus."
The Diocese of Exeter added that it was traditional for baptisms to take place on Easter Sunday after the 40 days of Lent.
