Roads closed and flood warnings after heavy rain
Griffiths GarageFlooding is affecting villages and towns across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, leading to road closures and flood warnings, following several days of heavy rain.
There are 12 flood warnings and seven flood alerts in place across Worcestershire, including sections of the rivers Teme and Severn.
In Herefordshire, there are five flood alerts in place, with road closures reported in areas including Pembridge and Eardisland.
The flood warnings issued by the Environment Agency mean flooding is expected and people living nearby should act now.
Staff at Griffiths Garage in High Street, Leintwardine, shared footage on social media of a traffic cone floating down the wet road outside the premises over the weekend.
The garage and shop closed an hour early on Saturday evening, due to the business being quiet, with roads south of the nearby bridge over the River Teme flooded and closed.
Seb Sargent/BBCOn Sunday morning, flood levels had fallen and managers said they were "hoping for a dry day so we can all get back to normal".
Shop manager Alan Link said stretches of the A4113 and A4110 roads had been flooded at least six times so far this winter, which impacted business.
He added trade was also affected afterwards as "people are still not sure if they are able to get through" the roads.
Last week, Storm Chandra brought flooding and travel disruption to parts of the UK, and saw dozens of schools close.
It was the third named storm to batter the country so far this year, after Ingrid and Goretti.
