Plans for HMO to replace estate agent storage area
GooglePlans to convert the storage area of an estate agents into a six-bed house of multiple occupancy (HMO) have been submitted.
The proposal would transform the first and second floor of 127 York Road in Hartlepool, currently used for storage by Ron Greig estate agents.
The application from The Fells Property Rentals would see the space become a HMO of six individual bedrooms, two communal kitchens and one shared sitting room.
A planning statement said the development was "sustainable" and would offer "significant benefits" while providing "attractive sized accommodation".
Ron Greig estate agents would continue operating on the ground floor under current proposals, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
The planning statement added that all rooms would benefit from "natural daylight" and offer an "adequate level of privacy".
The proposed residents would access the accommodation from a separate door to the estate agents.
A decision is expected on the application in the near future.
