Firefighters have tackled a large blaze at a Glasgow city centre hotel.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said that it was called to a "well-developed fire" on the fourth floor of the Revolver Hotel on Virginia Street.

There are no reports of any injuries.

The SFRS said that eight appliances had been sent to the scene.

By about 20:00 the large flames appeared to have been extinguished, while firefighters on ladders continued to tackle the remnants of the blaze.
