Strictly Come Dancing winner Hamza Yassin makes a special appearance

Tens of thousands of people headed to Southport this week to attend the town's 2025 flower show.

Wildlife photographer and Strictly Come Dancing winner Hamza Yassin headlined the show's main stage on Saturday, before doing a meet and greet with the gardeners and a book signing session, as well as stopping to chat and take pictures with attendees.

He was among a number of celebrity guest appearances - which also included Bake Off's Cherish Finden and Nick Bailey from BBC Gardeners' World - at the four-day show at Southport's Victoria Park.

The show also featured award-winning show gardens, a grand floral marquee and displays from local schools and charities.
