The family of a woman who died in a van crash have said her kindness "left an imprint" on every life she touched.

Sukhanpreet Kaur, 24, from Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, was a passenger in a white Ford Transit van involved in a crash on Barton Road, Barton, Cheshire, shortly before 06:00 GMT on 14 February.

A 27-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, both from Burslem, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have since been released on bail.

Police said Kaur was pronounced dead at the scene, adding that her family was being supported by specialist officers.

"Your love was the light that guided us, and your kindness left an imprint on every life you touched," her family said in a statement.

"Thank you for the memories that we will cherish forever. You are gone from our sight, but never from our hearts."

They added: "It feels impossible to say goodbye to someone with so much life still left to live.

"Rest in peace. Thank you for the beautiful memories and the light you brought into our lives. You will be deeply missed."
