Man charged with murder after incident at house in Whitburn

A man has been charged with murder after an incident at a house in Whitburn.

Rafal Niewojt, 48, is accused of killing Grzegorz Bialy at the house on Gilchrist Crescent in the West Lothian town on Friday.

Mr Bialy, who was 56, was pronounced dead at the scene after police were called to reports of concern for a person.

Niewojt, of Whitburn, made no plea to charges of murder and breaching bail conditions during an initial appearance at Livingston Sheriff Court.

He was remanded in custody and will appear again within the next eight days.
