Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft said it had been sold to Premier Attractions

A theme park has been sold and will start an "exciting new chapter" with its new owners.

Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft, Suffolk, announced on LinkedIn that it had been acquired by Premier Attractions from French company Looping Group.

The theme park, home to more than 35 rides, first opened in 1983 and was visited by the late Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh shortly after its opening.

The theme park said in a statement that more details would be revealed in the future.
