Police say the man was attacked while he was in a taxi in Bath

A man was attacked by a "group of youths" while he was inside a taxi, police have said.

The victim, who is in his 30s, suffered facial injuries during the attack which happened at about 23:30 GMT on Dorchester Street in the centre of Bath on 17 January.

Avon and Somerset Police said the victim did not require hospital treatment but was left "distressed" by the incident.

The offenders have been described as a group of young people, a mixture of boys and girls, and police have appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.
