The Environment Agency said a site near Wadborough shows signs of suspected "illegal waste activity"

A third suspected illegal waste site in Worcestershire, along with "several sites in the south east area" of the county are under investigation.

The Environment Agency (EA) has named Mill Lane, near Wadborough, as a new site it is looking into.

It comes after the BBC previously reported that sites on Stone Arrow Farm, Peopleton and Haselor Lane, Evesham were also under investigation.

All three sites are suspected of "illegal waste activity" and the EA says it is "pulling every lever available" to "disrupt those who profit from the harm illegal waste sites cause".

Photos taken at the Mill Lane site show several piles of brown waste lining a field with what appears to be a much larger waste pile behind a green container.

The EA spokesperson has urged anyone who suspects waste crime to contact its 24/7 incident hotline or to report it anonymously to Crimestoppers.

They added: "Illegal waste crime scars our communities and is something we're committed to tackling in Worcestershire, together with local councils and the police."
