A minute's silence will be held at a city shopping centre for a security guard who was fatally stabbed while at work.

Gary Stanley, 52, died on 28 February after an incident at Centre:MK in Milton Keynes.

In a post on social media, a Centre:MK spokesperson said a one-minute silence would take place at 13:15 BST on Monday to "honour and remember our friend and colleague".

The silence will coincide with Stanley's funeral, taking place elsewhere in the city.

Centre:MK's post added: "We have been overwhelmed by the kindness and support shown by the community over the last few weeks."

A book of condolence that was opened at the centre is expected to be collected by Stanley's family later.

Rory Wilson, 50, from Towcester, Northamptonshire, has been accused of murder. He is due to go on trial in September.
