The crash happened on York Road in Seacroft on Saturday 13 December

A 16-year-old girl who was seriously injured when she was hit by a car in Leeds earlier this month remains in a critical but stable condition, police have said.

The teenager was struck by a white Ford Fiesta being driven on Barwick Road, close to the Seacroft roundabout, at about 20:00 GMT on Saturday 13 December.

A man, 31, who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving over the prescribed limit of drink and drugs, theft of a motor vehicle and causing serious injury remained on bail pending further inquiries, officers said.

Anyone who saw a white "11" plate Fiesta in the Asda car park on York Road in the time leading up to the collision was asked to contact police.

Meanwhile, anyone with footage of such a car travelling on York Road towards Seacroft roundabout at about the time of the crash was also urged to get in touch with West Yorkshire Police.
