People will be able to have their say on plans for the next phase of a 1,150-home development.

Developer Taylor Wimpey is building the homes at the Chilton Woods development to the north of Sudbury, Suffolk.

It is currently preparing for the fourth phase of the development which will include 271 homes and green open spaces.

The public consultation opens on Monday on its website and runs until 28 August.

Planning permission for the development was initially granted in 2018 with detailed plans for the first phase of 200 homes being approved in 2021.

People have already moved into the first homes built and several are for sale.

Taylor Wimpey is now looking to submit a reserved matters planning application for this fourth phase of homes.

It said these homes would include a mix of one to two-bedroom apartments and one to five-bedroom homes.

The wider development will include a mixture of affordable homes for rent or shared ownership and there will be an area for a new primary school with pre-school facilities.

There will also be a village centre with new shops and a community hall.
