A mountain rescue team was called out to help a walker who injured their ankle after slipping and falling into a stream in the Peak District.

Members of Edale Mountain Rescue Team were alerted to the emergency at Grindsbrook Clough at about 11:40 BST on Sunday.

With help from colleagues from the Buxton Mountain Rescue Team, the group treated the injured walker's fracture, before taking them up the hill on a stretcher to a waiting medical helicopter.

Edale Mountain Rescue Team said it wished the injured walker and their family members all the best.
