Festive pianos, snowy woodland reindeers and cosy fireplace scenes are among this year's Christmas delights at a Grimsby tip.

The Grimsby Community Recycling Centre (CRC) on Estuary Way is locally well-known for its themed displays and this year is no exception.

People's cast off items have been turned into a cosy living room, where Santa has just dropped off presents. There are cheeky elves ready for carol singing on a Grimsby piano. You will also find quite a few Grinches made out of old car tyres alongside tyre snowmen too.

It follows a long tradition of themed displays, which have included Nutcracker ballets and Smurf Christmas Carols in previous years.

"The team do a fantastic job each year and we're so grateful for the donations from members of the public" said Sharon Hunt, director at Paprec, who manage the tip.

"Everyone looks forward to seeing the decorations and we're thrilled to be able to put a smile on people's faces when they visit" she added.

The recycling centre regularly raises over £20,000 a year and donates to local charities. These include St. Andrew's Hospice, Women's Aid and Young Carers.

However, people are discouraged from taking any items from the displays, as the team often save bits to be reused in decorations the following year.

The display can be viewed throughout the festive season, but the site is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
