Public transport-users in Jersey are facing higher contactless fares after LibertyBus increased its prices.

Adult passengers paying by card now face an increase of 20p on their journey, with the charge at £2.75 up from £2.55. Child tickets bought on card have also seen a rise from £1.27 to £1.40.

The card increases remain cheaper than cash fares, which are set at £3 for adults and £1.50 for children.

Children under the age of five can continue to travel free with each fare-paying adult.

The changes came into for on Sunday 1 March.
