Murder arrest after reports of man being stabbed

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Minster.

Police received reports of a man being assaulted and stabbed on Noreen Avenue on Saturday shortly after 18:30 GMT.

The man in his 50s was confirmed deceased, Kent Police said.

"A man in his 20s was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of murder and remains in custody pending further inquiries," a force spokesperson added.

"It is understood that both men were known to each other."
