A second man has been charged in connection with a shooting in Sheffield on Christmas Day.

Emergency services were called to Wilfred Drive at 23:30 GMT on 25 December and the male victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

South Yorkshire Police said Samin Khan, 23, of Basford Close, Darnall, had been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and was due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Previously, Raheel Mahmood, 23, of Elmham Road, Darnall, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and is due before Sheffield Crown Court on 16 February.
