Two brothers have been charged with the murder of a man who was fatally stabbed on Christmas Day.

Richard Beckles, 19, and Tiego Beckles, aged 20, were arrested on 7 January, following the death of Trey Johnson, 30, in Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Police (WMP) said they pair have now been charged with murder, wounding with intent, and threatening someone with a bladed article in a public place.

Johnson was found with serious stab injuries in Burcot Avenue, just after 03:30 GMT on 25 December, and died at the scene.

WMP said it was supporting his family and keeping them up to date with developments.

It said the men, both from Wolverhampton, had appeared at the city's magistrates court on Friday and were remanded in custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday.
