Man arrested after woman killed in crash
BBCA man has been arrested after a woman died in a crash involving two cars.
The crash happened on the A534 Spark Lane near the junction of Moorhouse Lane, in Arclid, at about 09:00 GMT on Saturday.
A 29-year-old woman from Congleton, Cheshire, who was driving a blue Fiat 500, died at the scene, and Cheshire Police said her family were being supported by specialist officers.
A 77-year-old man, who was driving a white Land Rover Defender, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, the force added.
"We are currently conducting an investigation into the full circumstances surrounding this tragic incident and as part of our inquiries, we would like to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police," said Det Sgt Iain Condliffe.
