Motorcyclist dies in hospital after crash with car

A motorcyclist has died in hospital after a crash near North Kilworth.

Leicestershire Police said a black Ford Fiesta and a green Kawasaki ZX400 crashed close to the entrance of Buckwell Lodge Farm on Lutterworth Road at 14:50 BST on Saturday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on Sunday afternoon, the force added.

A 34-year-old woman, who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

PC Ellise Timmins said: "We are working to establish the full circumstances and as part of our inquiries, we are looking to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area and saw the collision occur or has captured any dashcam footage."
