The family of a man killed in a car crash have paid tribute to his "humour, kindness and care for others".

Cameron Thomas, 32, was killed in a collision with another vehicle on the A4 at Fyfield in Wiltshire shortly before 15:30 GMT on Saturday.

His family said they were "absolutely heartbroken at the sudden and tragic loss of a much-loved husband, father and beloved friend".

"Cam will be missed deeply for his passion and love for his young family, which saw no bound," the family statement said.

"His humour, kindness and care for others will be sorely missed by everyone," they continued.

"We would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt support during this devastating time.

"Our lives are so much darker now."

Staff from the Marlborough Inn where Thomas was the general manager also shared a tribute on social media.

"Cameron was at the very heart of The Marlborough. His warmth, leadership, dedication and kindness shaped not only our business, but our team and the community around us," the post said.

"He was deeply respected, hugely admired and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him."

The pub will be closed this week as a mark of respect.

The A4 remained closed until Sunday following the collision near Marlborough while the incident was investigated, Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wiltshire Police is urging witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
