Broken skatepark lights 'will be fixed this month'
Rikki HughesLights at a Peterborough skatepark that have not been working since August will be fixed by the end of this month, according to the local authority.
Users of the skatepark in Hampton Hargate said it had become unsafe and unusable after dark.
Some of them have told the BBC of their frustration about the situation.
Peterborough City Council said the repair work was expected to start on Tuesday and would be finished by the end of the month.
The skatepark is used by BMX riders as well as by skateboarders.
Regular visitor Ricky Hughes, 35, said he was annoyed the issue had taken so long to resolve, having first reported it on 22 August.
Angus Ellis, the council's Labour cabinet member for environment and transport, said the authority was getting quotes for replacing the lights as soon as possible.
Conservative John Howard, who represents the Hargate and Hempstead ward, said it was "shocking" how long the issue had gone on but he was hopeful it would be sorted out by the end of March.
He added: "I think we're all going to gather there for a party to see when they're switched on because it's been such a long piece of work to get to this point."
