Residents have been evacuated from a block of flats in Dorset after a fire.

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service were called to Keel House in Dorchester Road, Weymouth, at about 00:45 BST after a blaze on the top floor spread to the roof space.

At the height of the fire, eight appliances, including a support unit and aerial ladder platform (ALPs), were at the scene.

In an update at about 10:00, the fire service said that three appliances and an ALP remained at the site, with road closures in place and people advised to avoid the area.
