Crimestoppers offers £20k reward after fatal attack
Northamptonshire PoliceCrimestoppers has offered a £20,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a fatal stabbing in a skate park.
Mason Miller, 20, died after an altercation at Briar Hill Skate Park in Ringway, Northampton, at about 15:30 GMT on 18 February. A 17-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries.
The charity believes, because it happened in a residential area, some witnesses may not have come forward yet.
Lydia Patsalides, East Midlands regional manager for Crimestoppers, said: "This was a devastating act of violence that has torn a family apart and left a community in shock."
She added: "We know that some people may feel frightened or unsure about speaking up, but Crimestoppers offers a completely safe and anonymous way to share what you know.
"Even the smallest piece of information could be vital in helping secure justice for Mason and the injured teenager."
So far, 14 people have been arrested and questioned in connection with the investigation.
Two 16-year-olds, who cannot be named due to their age, have been charged with murder and attempted murder.
The three teenage boys, one aged 14 and two aged 15, have been charged with violent disorder and having a weapon after the incident.
Northamptonshire Police said a 40-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on Wednesday, had been released on bail pending further inquiries.
