Police want to trace the driver of the car involved in what is believed to have been a low-speed incident

Two mourners were apparently struck by a car as they gathered for a funeral service outside a church, police have said.

Lancashire Police said the driver allegedly hit the women while driving slowly past Immanuel Church in the village of Feniscowles, near Blackburn, on 2 September.

Neither of the women was recorded as having been injured.

A Lancashire Police spokesman confirmed the incident was under investigation and that the force had not yet been able to trace the driver.
