A four-year-old boy and 79-year-old woman have died after a four-car crash in Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire Police said the collision happened on a straight section of the A157 just after Gayton le Wold, heading towards Grimblethorpe near Louth, on 15 March, just before 16:30 GMT.

The four-year-old from Birmingham, who was a passenger in a black Volvo XC60, died on 23 March. The woman, from Mablethorpe, who was driving a grey MG 1300, was taken to hospital but died a day later.

The force said it had carried out forensic investigations but would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage.

The crash also involved a blue Peugeot 108, a white BMW X3. A fifth vehicle also suffered "collateral damage", according to officers.
