Woman in her 90s dies after being hit by a car

A woman in her 90s has died in hospital after being struck by a car, police have said.

The incident happened in Leverton Way, Waltham Abbey at about 10:30 GMT on Tuesday.

Essex Police said the woman, a pedestrian, had been seriously injured by a silver Citroen C4 car.

Officers have appealed for anyone with footage or witnesses to the collision to contact them.
