Five appear in court charged with man's murder
Family/Humberside PoliceFive people have appeared in court charged with murdering a man who died after an alleged assault in Hull.
Martin Chadburn, 53, who was an army veteran and employee of the Hull 4 Heroes charity, was taken to hospital with head injuries following the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning in Queen Victoria Square. He died two days later.
Three women and two men appeared before Hull Crown Court on Friday.
No pleas were entered during the hearing and the defendants were remanded in custody ahead of another court appearance on 7 August. A trial is expected to take place later this year.
The accused are:
- Britney Naylor, 20, of Dibsdane, Hull
- Bethany Naylor, 20, of Deerhurst Grove, Hull
- Shaytiya Farrow, 21, of Peter Street, Blackpool
- Lukasz Matusiak, 27, of Needlers Way, Hull
- Kristjan Suits, 34, of Queens Road, Hull
Humberside Police described Britney Naylor, Bethany Naylor and Farrow as black British nationals. Suits was described as a white Estonian national and Matusiak as a white Polish national.
