A murder investigation was launched after a man died last year

A man has pleaded not guilty to murder after a man died following an assault in 2024.

Codey Nolan, 34, of no fixed address, has been charged with murdering Hassan Bousanguar and he appeared at Basildon Crown Court on Friday.

On 4 May 2024 emergency services were called to Riverview Centre in Vange, Basildon, Essex, where they found Mr Bousanguar seriously injured in a communal hallway at about 18:00 BST.

Mr Bousanguar died in December of that year.

Mr Nolan is next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on 3 December.
