A woman and four children have been injured in a crash in East Yorkshire, police have said.

Emergency crews were called to reports of a collision involving a BMW and a Toyota on New Ellerby Road, near Burton Constable, at 16:30 GMT on Friday.

Humberside Police said the Toyota driver - a 53-year-old woman - and two children suffered serious injuries. The other two children were also treated in hospital.

Police said one of the four children suffered "life-changing" injuries.

The woman and another child were treated for "serious injuries that are not thought to be life-changing", the force added.

The condition of the other two children was not given.
