At 250 feet, the parish church in Long Melford, near Sudbury, is the longest in Suffolk

A church that was closed after a decorative wooden plinth fell from a "considerable height" has reopened.

Holy Trinity Church in Long Melford, Suffolk, shut its nave on 8 July to carry out inspections on other panels.

The church had said at the time no-one was injured and the roof had not collapsed.

In an update, the church said a safety inspection had been carried out and the church was now open in its entirety.
